Cachecóis e Luvas / Scarves and Mittens

Fiz estes dois conjuntos para dar a duas colegas de universidade. Os cachecóis são iguais ao meu cor-de-rosa e feitos com a mesma linha (Winter). Gosto bastante de usar o ponto turco para cachecóis, é rápido e fácil. As luvas são as Basic fingerless Mittens (ravelry), foram muito rápidas e simples de fazer, é uma receita muito útil e acho que a vou utilizar mais vezes.

Entretanto estou a pensar em projectos de verão que me façam utilizar os fios que já tenho e que não uso, mas infelizmente reparei que a maior parte é lã ou acrílico! Tenho sempre dificuldade em gastar os novelos solitários porque ou são poucos para o projecto que quero ou sobra sempre demasiado quando faço alguma coisa, também têm este dilema?

I made these mittens and scarves as a gift to two university colleagues. The scarves are equal to my pink one and were made with the same yarn (Winter). I like to use the turkish stitch a lot for scarves, it's fast and easy. The mittens are the Basic fingerless Mittens (ravelry), really fast and simple to make, it's a very useful pattern and I think I'll use it more times.

Meanwhile I'm thinking about summer projects that will make me use my stash but unfortunatly I noticed that the majority of my yarn is wool or acrylique! I always find spending my lonely yarn balls very hard since they are either few for the project I want or a lot and then there's always a lot of leftover, do you have this dilema?




Encomendei este livro na esperança de me iniciar na arte da costura, estou à espera que chegue amanhã, vamos ver. A minha avó é que tinha muito jeito para costurar, infelizmente não tive tempo de aprender com ela. Tenho imensas calças com a bainha por fazer e pensei que já estava na hora de enfrentar a máquina de costura cheia de pó e de lhe dar uso. Este livro foi barato e foi por isso que o encomendei, sei que há muitos mais, mais completos e já ando a sonhar com eles, mas tenho de me conter porque daqui a nada começam as aulas outra vez e depois é sempre a mesma coisa, os projectos param por completo.

I ordered this book hoping to iniciate myself in the art of sewing, I'm expecting it to arrive tomorrow, let's wait and see. My grandmother had a lot of sewing experience, unfortunatly I didn't have time to learn with her. I have a lot of trousers that need a hem and thought I'd give the dusty sewing machine some use. This was a very cheap book, I know that there are a lot of better bigger sewing books and I'm already dreaming about them, but I have to make an effort not to buy them because my classes start soon and then the same old thing happens, my projects stop completely.

Cachecol Rosa Terminado / Pink Scarf Finished

Já terminei o cachecol, foi concluído logo na primeira semana mas não tive tempo de publicar nada. Também já o usei, adorei como saiu, é muito quentinho, dá muito jeito para estes dias!

I've finished the scarf, I knit it in one week but I haven't had time yet to post anything. I love it, it's very warm, it's going to be very useful for these days!

Pormenor do ponto / Stitch's detail

Pattern:
number os st multiple of 4 (for this one I cast on 24st)
Rows 1 and 2: Knit
Every other row: K1, yo, k2tog, rep from * to *
Knit the last 2 rows.
This pattern is very simple and makes a great scarf!

Cachecol Fino / Skninny Scarf

Este cachecol será útil para as noites frescas de Outono que se aproximam.
Usei três fios de algodão egípcio da Tricots Brancal nas cores azul claro, pêssego e rosa e agulha de 4mm.
Quem quiser a receita só tem de se registar no Knitting Daily e procurar por "Get the Skinny Scarves".



This scarf will be usefull for the cold autumn nights that will come.
I used three egipcian cotton yarns from Tricots Brancal in light blue, peach and pink and a 4mm hook.
Whoever wants the pattern must first register in Knitting Daily and search for "Get the Skinny Scarves".

Cachecol / Scarf (Corrigido / Corrected)

Ontem comprei 5 novelos de 35gr nos chineses para fazer este cachecol. Quero usá-lo no Natal, mas vou ter de comprar pelo menos mais 2 novelos para o acabar.

O ponto é muito simples, não sei se tem nome, mas vou chamá-lo "meia alargada", aqui vai o esquema:

Nºde malhas par (fiz 18, agulhas nº6mm)

Fila 1: tudo em meia

Fila 2: 1 meia, *1 laçada, repetir desde *, acabar em meia.

Fila 3: *1 meia, tira a laçada, repetir desde *

Repita as filas 2 e 3 até ter o comprimento que quiser.

Quando feito com agulhas grossas, o cachecol faz-de numa hora, ou menos!

Yesterday I bought 5 balls of 35gr in a chinese store to make this scarf. I want to wear it on Christmas night, but I'll have to buy at least 2 more balls in order to finish it.

This stitch is very simple, I don't know if it has a name but I'm going to call it "the large purl stitch", here's the instructions:

Even no of stitches (I casted on 18 and used 10 1/2 needles)

Row 1: Purl across

Row 2: Purl 1,* yo, Purl 1, rep from *, end with Purl

Row 3: *Purl 1, remove the extra stitch, rep from *

Rep rows 2 and 3 for as long as you like!

When this stitch is made with large needles, the scarf is knitted in an hour or less!
